The LEED Gold building is a modern interpretation of the traditional, local territorial style. The concept stems from historical and cultural influences, and indigenous building techniques of New Mexico.
Inspired by the solid building foundations of the Pueblos, 24" thick rammed earth walls wrap the building's exterior giving off a sense of permanence, stability, and protection.
The 33,000 SF sustainable office building promotes day lighting and views through use of multiple courtyards. Local materials, operable windows, rain water harvesting, and individual lighting and ventilation controls, contributes to clean indoor air, reduces water and energy use, and affords a fun and healthy work environment. |
